Cedric walked into the library to read some books on defence against the dark arts. He wanted to see what curses, jinxes, and hexes they would learn about here. He knew the unforgivable ones and knew how to use them. But Ced never would, his father had The Imperius Curse put on him in 1995 and Ced would never do that to a person. The kill cure would be the last thing he would use unless he had no choice. The Cruciatus Curse he would only use if someone's life was endanger and he needed information and the person would not give it.
Ced found a book that talked about the unforgivable curses. He had see then used in class but he wanted to know more. He knew that Harry Potter a person his dad knew a bit, was the only one in history to live thou it. From what he heard his mother shielding him with her own body from a kill curse and the it being used on him was the only reason he heard that he lived. He looked at what it said about the laws on them first. *Hmm so you get a life sentence here for using them. Need to remember that. Don't want to uses them then. But why would I? I can't stand the dark arts. Even if I'm good at curses, hexes, and jinxes, I don't uses them.* He though. He hoped that they would not teach them in his last year. He had already learned them and Ced knew how to uses them. After all that was a test you had to pass. Preforming them on a spider. He shook his head after remembering the look on peoples faces when he did it perfectly.

Idril Flyer was in the library, the place she visited the most. It was a break between classes and unlike other student spending that time in the courtyard, by the lake or wherever, she stepped into the library and picked some advanced healing book. She didn't know if it was needed but she always wanted to know more than necessary. It was her nature she couldn't help it. What else you could tell about her? Idril was always very sensitive, generally but always on someone's harm. She was overprotective over almost everyone, no matter she knew you or not. Almost, because there were people she - no you couldn't tell she didn't care about, but either they didn't need her protection or were ready to kill her without a wink of an eye for stepping in their way. Someone told her that she needs to understand that she is not some God that can change who someone is. Everyone walks their own path. And it isn't her job to make sure that it is the right one. Her job is to walk her own. But she still tried, tried to stop everyone's pain, turn them back from wrong way and help in anything she only could. It was her inward need, inward good.
It seemed impossible for a single teenage girl to take so much to heart. But idril was that type of a person who at first shrugged thing off and then everything was getting back to her with a double force. She was way too sensitive, especially nowadays. When everything seemed to be good and she seemed to find happiness someone had to ruin it. And finally she understood that rooting for welfare in everyone was senseless. Some people just hadn't it being evil or spoiled to their guts. No matter how much she wanted to heal the world and fight for the common good she was helpless.
Idril being always a bookworm, a shy good-humoured figure tender on any harm had nothing to a prankster. Having fun for her meant reading books, singing, dancing, some of group games, at a pinch quidditch. But she decided not playing it this term. She thought that it will be better to give the position of a Ravenclaw chaser to someone more competent. Yet, thinking about that sport make her look out the window. She smiled looking at the Hogwarts grounds. It didn't seem so cold outside.

Cedric was so into his book he almost for got to take notes. He took out a Eagle quill, some parchment and some colour-change ink and started to write. He hated writing in English as he was not good at it. "Hmmm." *I hope I am writing this down right.* He though. He was so busy doing this he didn't know there someone else in the library with him. Ced was glad he was writing this down. He needed to remember this. After a few minuets of writing he was done. "Glad I'm do with this. I would never remember all of this other wise." He said.
He got up and stretched. He then looked around and saw a girl from Ravenclaw in the almost empty library. *She must want some peace and quite too I guess* He though. Ced picked up the book to up it away. He went and put it up back in the shelf he found it in. When he did this, the book slipped out of his hands and fell to the floor with a very loud thud. "Mmmm. I hate it when that happens." He said. He bent down and picked the book up. He checked to make shore it wasn't damaged. He then put the book up and this time it didn't fall.
"Well I better get my book out for Transfiguration. I need to read this years book on it." He said a bit bummed. He went and sat back down. He saw the girl was still looking out the window. *Man she is very beautiful* He though *But all Ravenclaws are I guess. Their sapost to be the best looking in the school from what I heard. But she really is. Wish I could talk to her. But like dad I'm shy and nerves around girls.* He though. He gave a sad sigh. *She might not like me for me any way. Once she know my name she mite be all over me to get popular or more of it.*

Maybe she could go out, get some fresh air. It was actually a nice idea. She couldn't spend all her life in the library, yet something kept her there. She held a book close to her body. The one that was her favourite because her father named her after one of characters from it. She took a deep breath and smelled something. Jasmine? she thought. With a corner of her eye she spotted someone with a cup in hand. She turned to see who it was. She smiled seeing divination teacher there. And maybe it was a library and you shouldn't eat and drink there as you could mess the books but a cup of jasmine tea sounded appealing to her. It was then before she heard a loud thud not so far from her. She looked in the right direction from where the sound came from and spotted a boy she had never seen before at Hogwarts. He must have dropped the book. She tilted her head with a slight grimace on her face hoping nothing bad happened to the actual book. Idril always treated books well. They were everything she had, all her life and she thought they need respect even though they weren't living things. She sighed and looked back out of the window just to decide if she should go outside or stay here and read some more.
A Ravenclaw made her mind finally. The weather was so nice. It was a bit silly to just sit there. She already knew a lot, read so many books, and remembered nearly everything that was written on so many pages. She studied more than any student at Hogwarts these days. She deserved a break. So Idril walked over to the table she previously occupied and started to collect her things unaware that the boy who dropped the heavy book was looking at her. ooc; I really got a bit rusty xD

Cedric saw that the girl had a book and smiled. *She might like reading too.* He though. He still could not believe that he dropped a book. He never did that before in his life. He loved books. He would spend his time at home making shore they were all in good condition. He hopped that wasn't a bad thing, saying some thing was going to happen. He then took out a divination book and a crystal ball and looked to make shore nothing was going to happen. Cedric looked into it and saw some things. The first thing he saw was the ravenclaw house symbol, then he saw him looking happy with a girl who's face he could not make out, then he saw the daily prophet.
Ced sat back and sighed. "I should have known." He said to him self. He knew this was a slightly bad omen. He put his head in his hands. "Why did this have to happen now? After eight years of school it will happen now. O well it was going to happen sooner or later." He said. Ced took out a new piece of parchment and wrote down the omens so he would remember them. He was nerves about this. He knew it might not end well, but he had to stay positive. That would be hard to do with the daily prophet involved. He hoped Rita Skeeter would not be. He was hopping it would turn out ok and his and this girl's life would not be destroyed.

Collecting her things and staffing them into her school bag a Ravenclaw prefect was still unaware that the boy hung the eyes on her for a longer while. She wouldn't even think about the possibility. She didn't think of herself as pretty so why would boys even waste their time to take a glimpse of her. It was beyond her vivid imagination. Of course she was seventeen now and she was on a few dates before but they were always rather friendly meetings than actual dates. And yes she kissed two boys before but it didn't mean that much as it seemed. Besides she was too dedicated to studying and she thought boys found her as a nerd or bookworm and not a girlfriend material. And it was true. She carried a book nearly everywhere went. She spent most of her time in the library. She was never late for a class and wrote nearly everything professor said down. No wonder why she was chosen a tutor for a few younger students.
Idril put the last thing into her bag and then something else brought her interest. She looked up from her bag as she heard the very boy speak to himself. She tilted her head once again wondering if everything was fine with him. She hoped it was but she decided to come over and ask anyway. Hanging the bag on her arm she walked over to the table the boy occupied and stopped right beside him. "Something's wrong?" she asked with a slightly worried face mixed with a small smile.

Ced wasn't paying attention, so when he heard a girl's voice ask is something is wrong. Well he jumped. He hit his knee on the under side of the table. Ced looked to see who spoke to him. It trund out to be the girl he was been staring at. "Yes I just looked into my crystal ball and some thing appeared in it. Do you take divination too by any chance?" He asked her. He hoped he was saying every thing right. He was after all not very good with English. "My I ask what your name is miss?" He asked her.
*Wow she has very lovely eyes and she is very pretty.* He though to him self. He hoped she might be in divination too and he hoped she could help him figure out what the images in the crystal ball meant. He really hoped it was nothing bad. What Ced was really hoping is that it was telling him he would finely have a girlfriend who really cared about him and really did love him, not his money or fame. Ced got out of his chair and bowed to the girl. "My name is Cedric Krum by the way miss." He said as he took her hand and kissed it.
He learned to do that from his dad. His dad would always do that with his mom. He never got why but Ced though he finely did. *Man I hope she doesn't act like a fan girl now that I told her my name.* He though nervously.

Idril, or Icy as some people called smiled when the boy jumped at her voice. She didn't want to startle him or laugh at him but it looked funny anyway. Then he started to talk about his crystal ball and divination. Well, Idril didn't take this class since her fifth year. She didn't need the subject in the further education. She didn't need it to graduate and get job she wanted. "I'm afraid I don't anymore." she shook her head lightly. She didn't really believe in divination anyway. "It's Idril Flyer." a girl said with a bright smile. There were times she thought her name was weird. People made faces hearing it. But the fact that her name came from a muggle fantasy book her father loved made her think it is a very special name for a very special female in his life, his only daughter. Maybe she wasn't blond haired or that tall. Maybe she wasn't as beautiful as Tolkien's elves were but she surely was good hearted and meant a lot for a human.
A girl didn't know what was on the boy's mind at that moment. She really was so oblivious when it came to boys liking her. Maybe it was because she didn't think any of them can like such a nerd as her. The boy gave her his name then. Cedric Krum it was. Of course the name told Idril a lot. She read so many books about his father, uncle or whoever Viktor Krum was for him. But she didn't really read newspapers, at least not gossip or sport columns. She was much rather interested in the news about the ministry or newly discovered plants or animals. Idril had to blink at what Cedric did after introducing himself. Had he really just kissed her hand? Was he a real gentleman? "I'm pleased to meet you, Cedric." she said with a smile and curtsied before him.

Cedric smiled when she gave him her name. "That's very uneak name. It's also very beautiful too." He said. He heard her say she didn't take divination. He was a bit disappointed but it was all right. "Well that's all right. Would you like to join me by any chance?" He asked her. He took out a new book of his about dragons. He turned to the page with the infamous Bulgarian Demonback. "Well this will be a fun one to read about." He said as he looked at the photo. It was a scary looking dragon. It was black as a piece of coal, eyes red as blood, spines on its back the size of a sword and it was half the size of a Ukrainian Ironbelly.
Ced shuttered a bit after he looked at it's eyes. He could not be leave any one could survive an attack by one. He hoped he never saw one again. He liked dragons but this one was a nasty piece of work and most dragonologists never wanted to work or studied them as they were not well known and extremely dangerous. And not very many people live throu an attack from one. He set his book down and pulled a chair out for Idril so she could sit down. Ced was razed to be a gentleman after all.
"So Idril tell me about your self." He said. Ced was interested in knowing about this girl. He then looked around to make sure there was no beetle that looked like they had glasses markings on it. After the looked throu the hole library he came back. "Well that's good to know." He said relieved.
