With the slogan, "Makers of fine wands since 382 B.C." This is the shop to purchase a wand. It has thousands of narrow boxes piled nearly right up to the ceiling, each one containing a wand. Last Owner Mr. Ollivander personally worked with each witch and wizard, having them test out various wands until he know which one they should take home. The proprietor also has an excellent memory and is able to recall every single wand he has sold. Wand selection is a very personal thing, a person cannot just pick up and use any old one. "The wand chooses the wizard."
