It was days like these that put Marina at ease. While the brisk evening air had forced most everyone indoors, it seemed she was the only one crazy enough to stand outside by herself. For once, there was no sign of her brothers lurking. She wondered; had they actually found something better to do than harass her? Though, they were both good for a sweater now and then. She regretted forgetting to dress warm before leaving her dorm. This is why everyone stays inside Marina, you idiot. She shivered a bit as a breeze blew her hair. She couldn’t help but love the emptiness of the school grounds. Hogwarts was a cold and desolate place this late in the evening, making it the best time for the Slytherin girl to go for a stroll. She walked with her eyes glued forward; thinking about everything, or perhaps nothing at all. To say she was lonely was understatement. Marina liked it that way; she preferred it even.
Slytherins were known for their less than friendly behavior. Marina matched the stereotype quite well. She didn’t like conversing with Gryffindors. (Or anyone else for that matter) Hufflepuffs were pathetic and giddy. Ravenclaws; oh they were just annoyingly smart. Yes, she had no problem agreeing with the cynical Slytherin state of mind. But there was so much she hated about her pureblood peers. Too many of the girls were overly-flirtatious. The guys, they were just out to flirt with the first skirt they saw. Marina had done well avoiding these types, for the most part. But every girl has their weaknesses. She could only pretend to be immune to the opposite sex’s endeavors for so long. Sooner or later, Marina knew, she was bound to get caught up. Like some love-sick puppy she pictured herself; following a boy around. It was sickening really. For now, she was perfectly content just being that bitter and angry loner. No doubt that’s how everyone already saw her.
Consequently, it was also days like these that made Marina happy she wasn’t an only child. “Out on the grounds all by herself” wasn’t exactly the best way for a young girl to be spending her evenings. During the week her brothers would have taken her on these walks. (Only because she manipulated them into doing so) but their company was only good for so long. Mikhail was too difficult to talk to. “You should try to make some new friends, Marina.” What a lovely young man. Samuil and her, well they were perhaps too close. She saw enough of him during classes, in the common room, etc. The last thing I need is some love-struck idiot girlfriends; as Marina supposed everyone was these days. Taking walks by herself was starting to sound better and better. Even if she was cold, and people were probably watching her out their windows thinking “What a freak.” She could care less what they thought about her.

With every step forward, it seemed that in turn the younger children that flooded the halls began noticing him and particularly the younger children with looks of horror on their faces where quick to scurry away. He couldn’t blame them. It was he, Blaze Greyback whom had created that fear in their innocent hearts and that fear had spread like wildfire. Why? At the age of eighteen, he was a man with a dangerous mind and a reputation to withhold. To the younger students of Hogwarts, he was seen as a bully, the guy who would have you hanging by your toes if you stepped out of line and to the older students, he had the school in the palm of his hands - or so he liked to think.
As he made his way down the entrance hall, prepared to make his exit onto the grounds of the school it was then when it happened. By instinct Blaze had outstretched his hand and took a smaller boy by the collar, roughly hoisting him up to meet at eye level. It took a moment for the younger student to realize what was happening but then that familiar look of surprise, fear and horror washed over him. The corner’s of Blaze’s lips tugged upwards into his trademark smirk, “I thought you would have learnt from your mistakes, Cresswell. You know I don’t like it when people get in my way, especially when it’s a mud blood.” Blaze spat at the boy, his emerald eyes narrowing before tossing the younger student to the ground, “Don’t do it again or I’ll smash your head against the bloody floor.” He could only warn the boy before stepping over him and proceeding with his wander out of the school and on to the grounds.
During his walk the last person he planned on coming across was Marina Dolohov, the one girl who seemed to stand out among the rest. She wasn’t flirty or promiscuous, she stood as a lonely figure if nothing else. Somehow, he had found himself in the perfect position and he strolled behind her, picking up his pace with the last few step and reaching out he grabbed her hand, spinning her around and pulling her fragile frame into him, unable to wipe the ignorant smirk off his face, “What’s a Dolohov, doing out alone? They usually don’t wander alone.” Blaze mused, resting a firm hand on her waist and giving it a playful squeeze, “Miss me, sweetheart?” He shamelessly teased her, a mischievous glint in his eyes.

Blaze was the last person Marina had expected to run into; or rather, he was the last person she expected to be grabbed and spun by. Her mind went dizzy with the dashing entrance. “Ah! Blaze!” Leave it to him to make such an unpleasant, surprising arrival. And her walk had been going so well… While Marina didn’t exactly favor the seventh year boy, she had to admit, he was better company than some. She just snickered at his man-handling; only slightly annoyed. Pfft, at least he’s not shy. ”Nice to see you too, Blaze.” She gently resisted the pull on her waist, yanking her hand free and stepping backward. She knew he’d probably only pull her back, but Marina didn’t really mind. He was one of the few “Casanova” types whose attempts didn’t make her completely furious. Perhaps it was his age; his general belief that he ruled the school? Whatever the reason, to a certain extent Marina admired Blaze Greyback. If only to be completely disgusted by him at the same time…
The Dolohovs and Greybacks had been in relations for almost forty years now; dating all the way back to the start of the Wizarding War. Marina and her brothers grew up around Fenrir Greyback’s children. (All eleven of them) But as large as their family was, for some reason Blaze’s personality stood out the most to Marina. Sure, his sexual endeavors had earned him a promiscuous title at school, but she didn’t mind so much. There was something about the belligerence that drew her in. Blaze had a confidence that Marina couldn’t help but envy, not to mention she was shamelessly attracted to him. She figured in some ways he must remind her of her father. They were both so dangerous and powerful. But with Blaze’s title as a dignified ladies’ man, mixed with a tendency to be very manipulative and dangerous; well the young Slytherin girl had to have known better. She couldn’t trust Blaze Greyback with her life, let alone her innocence.
Unfortunately, as with any girl, there were occasions in which Marina found herself “longing for Blaze’s presence,” so to speak. She couldn’t explain it. As much as she wanted to resist, there was still that little bit of something wicked drawing her in. Perhaps it was his smile, or those lovely green eyes. Oh god. Marina caught herself staring, if only for a moment. Damn it. I hope he didn’t notice, I hope he didn’t notice. She turned her head and tried to play it off as a coincidence. Any chance that Blaze thought she might be attracted to him would just end badly for her. “No Blaze.” She grinned a bit. “No, I haven’t missed you AT ALL.” Marina let her gaze wander back to his face. She loved feeling clever, even if it did nothing to deliver the hint that she wasn’t interested. How could she resist Blaze Greyback? “I take it you’ve missed me then?” Another smirk; Marina placed her hand on her hip and waited to regret every moment spent with the wicked Greyback son.
