So I thought I'd give a few posting tips for people that are newer to roleplaying. Many of the tools seen here are unique to Proboards sites. They may or may not be available on other roleplaying sites. That being said, let's start out with some of the easier ones. - Type your post in a word document first! You never know when proboards might lose your post while it's being edited. After you're finished you can copy and paste it into a thread. Better safe than sorry!
- Keep track of your word count. While it's not necessary to constantly check the amount of words you have, it is important to make sure you meet the 250 word requirement. Any posts that do not meet these standards will be asked to change.
- Use spell check every time you write a post. This will keep your posts neat and proffesional looking.

How To Edit the Size of Your Text First highlight the entire text you want to change sizes.
Second click the icon that reads AA. You will see something that pops up around your text that looks like this:
[*size=2]YOUR POST HERE.[/*size] |
In order to make your text smaller, change the '2' to a '1'

Using Blockquote On Your Post
In order to make your text appear set in the middle of the page like mine. We will once again be looking to the rows of icons above the smilies in our modifying post section. Highlight your entire post, and click the -> icon. That's it! Easy right? Here's an example of how it should look:
Before blockquote: This is what your post will look like before you've used blockquote. It stretches to both margins on the page.
After blockquote: This is what your post will look like after using blockquote. As you can see, it no longer reaches the margins. This provides a very clean look to each of your posts. It also makes them easier to read. |
