Cedric walked into the three broomsticks. He was hoping to get some time to him self. He wanted to work on his Patronus Charm some time that day. He wanted to keep working on it. He sat in the back and hid behind a book. He was reading about the Ukrainian Ironbelly. He was a big fan of dragons. He knew the power they had but how the females were grate mothers. He remembered about some muggles finding a dead frozen young dragon under a glashor in Romania, and how they though they died out. Ced always though that was funny. He looked up from his book and looked around to check for reporters. He didn't see any so he went on reading.
Ced was glad his school life here was quite. He liked how the teachers and shop owners here treat him like a normal person. But he asked them for that and they were nice enough to do that. He took out a thinking of liquorice wands. He started to suck on one. He loved liquorice, especially black liquorice. He had about 50 of them on him. *I hope the press don't find out I'm here.* He though *I really hope that Rita Skeeter doesn't find out. That will be very bad for my pace.* He though a bit worried. *I must remember to buy more sweets from Honeydukes one of theses days. Man they have good sweets.* He though with a smile. *I really need to work on my English it's still bad. I need practice* He though. He gave a sigh. He knew with out friends he would not get better.

For most teens, trips to Hogsmeade were something to look forward to. There were clothes, candy, and food to be purchased. Girls could often be seen chasing boys around in the streets. Most young witches enjoyed their time there, for that reason. But Marina was no normal witch. She seriously hated going to Hogsmeade. She didn’t want to buy sweets at Honeydukes, nor would she ever be caught dead chasing boys around. (She found the whole process of flirting to be a bit over-rated.) All Marina wanted to do was have some time to herself. Her dorm mates had stayed behind, along with the majority of their house. The lack of noise made Hogsmeade quite bearable. Making her way down the main street, this was the closest to “cheery” the slytherin girl ever got. She could breathe in the fresh air, listen closely to the silence. This was the first time in a long time she actually felt like visiting the Three Broomsticks.
I’ll bet there’s hardly anyone there. It might be pleasant, really.
Marina entered through a pair of large, wooden doors. The Three Broomsticks smelt just like she remembered; old and rotting. She wrinkled her nose in slight disgust. The Slytherin girl would do her best not to act totally repulsed by the pub’s general trashy atmosphere. Now, where to sit, where to sit. Her eyes scanned the tables; most were empty, but appeared to be too out in the open. Of course! The perfect table and someone’s already sitting there!? Marina wandered over to the young man’s table in the corner. She recognized Cedric Krum’s masculine build right away. “Mmm…” This is just my luck. She wouldn’t say hello; just sat down across from him with an irritated look on her face. Perhaps he would take the hint that she wanted him to move?

Cedric felt some one was starting at him. He gave a sigh a looked up from his book. He saw a girl from Slytherin house giving him a irritated look. *If she thinks I'm going to move when I got here first she is either mad or she thinks she owns this table.* Cedric though. He went back to his book. Cedric was not in the mood to day to deal with any one from that house. He didn't have a problem with them he just didn't like how they acted. (He was really no in to how they mite go crazy trying to get close to him) Ced was getting annoyed with this girl. *I guess I have to say some thing.* He though.
Ced then took the liquorice wand he had been sucking on to talk. "If you want to site here there is enough room for us both." He said to her. Ced was not good with English so it was hard to under stand him. He didn't talk much so he had a very think accent. He knew that the girl would either come sit with him or keep looking at him that way. Ced gave a sigh and went back to his book. He then took a bit of his liquorice wand he had been sucking on. He didn't know why his father sat at that girl's table when he came here. He wasn't a big fan of the hole Gryffindor and Slytherin fude. It was pointless to him.

Marina was shocked, to say the least. The young slytherin was used to getting what she wanted; she hadn’t expected Cedric to ignore her like that. Upon seeing his reaction she began to nervously slide around in her seat. “Hmm.” Cedric only seemed to look up from his book for a second, before going right back to ignoring her. What’s his problem? Marina wondered. It only seemed sensible that he at least ensue a proper greeting. Perhaps he thought he was above her? Oh no, that won’t do. Marina would take it upon herself to see that the young man was brought down to size. If it took insulting, well she would be happy to.
“Cedric Krum.” She said his name like a poison; bitter and fowl tasting on her tongue. This wasn’t to say Marina was actually disgusted by this boy. Truth be told, he wasn’t the worst company she could’ve had. Marina would just act like she hated him. Hopefully he was smart enough to take the hint. She didn’t crave his attention like other girls might; he was just like any other old Gryffindor to her. “How can you eat those things?” She wrinkled her nose in disgust. The black licorice he was sucking on made her gag. What a little kid. That’s so gross. Of course it didn’t occur to her that it was normal for young people to enjoy candy. Marina had never had the luxury as a child, nor did she ever want to. “Candy has sugar and sugar makes you hyper You don't want to be hyper, now, do you Cedric?” She grimaced as a shiver went down her spine. Never, ever would Marina allow herself to act “hyper.” If it meant avoiding sugar for the rest of her life, then so be it.

Cedric heard the girl say his name and he flinched. He closed his book quickly and looked around to make sure no one heard his name. The place was still empty and he gave a sigh of relief. Cedric heard what she said and laughed a bit. "It's either I suck on theses or I start to tap. That's very annoying just so you know." He told her. "It would take more then these for that to happen with me. Now sugar quills those will do that to you." He told her.
*She is quite smart. That's good to know. How she knew who I was is what I would really like to know.* He thought. He finished the liquorice wand he was eating and put his book up. "You want to sit with me?" He asked. "I wouldn't mined some company for once." He told her. He really hoped he was saying every thing right. Ced never did speak English much so he wasn't very good. He though this slytherin girl was kind of pretty.
He really hoped he didn't run into any one today that would know who he was. But Ced was a little glad he did. At least he didn't have to deal with the hole (Your Viktor Krum's son. That's so cool) thing some people do. That was irritating. Ced hoped that this girl would join him. But he knew due to him being in gryffindor and her in slytherin that was as close as him getting a girlfriend who really loved him.

Cedric’s behavior was rather difficult for Marina to comprehend. She wasn’t expecting him to respond so nicely, let alone ask her to sit with him. “Seriously?!” She just sat there and glared, a rather confused look coming over her face. Who did he think he was, asking her to sit with him? What made him think she would even want to? Despite the constant urge to get up and walk away, for some reason, Marina decided she would stay. Cedric seemed perfectly happy holding up his side of the conversation. Maybe I’ll just tell everything he says to Daily Prophet. I wonder how much they’d pay for pictures of Cedric Krum sucking on licorice? Oh my god. He looks… like a fool. Marina chuckled to herself while giving the Gryffindor boy a quick look up and down. Despite his obvious charm and masculinity, well he really wasn’t that good looking. Sure, she might have just been telling herself that…
Nah, I don’t think I’d get very much for pictures of this guy. Marina’s expression slowly started to change from confused, to a somewhat repulsed look. She realized, all this talk of candy was really starting to make her sick. Really? Sugar quills? What were they even made of, just a bunch of sugar!? “Did you say sugar quills?” She made a joking face at Cedric, widening her eyes and opening her mouth as if to gag. “Heh, I don’t eat candy Cedric. So I really wouldn’t know.” It was plain to see how amused Marina was by this boy. He was completely different from the Cedric Krum she saw in the papers; not smooth or self-righteous like his father. Though she didn't find it worth getting to know him, Marina thought it might be nice to have a short conversation. Besides, it wasn't as if she had anything better to do.

Cedric looked at the girl. *Why is she so shock? I know I look different then I do in the papers but I hate the press.* He though. He finished off his liquorice wand so they could have a better conversation. "So what's your name miss?" He asked nicely. Ced got up and pulled out a chair for her to sit in. He never really had company so he always sat alone. But he was raised to be plight to lady's, no matter what. Ced hoped he might make a new friend. But he knew that was a slim chanes, as they both were from houses that hatted each other.
He remembered what his dad said about slyhterins. (If your famous they will want to be close to your for fame or some thing like that. Keep your guard up my boy.) His dad would always said to him. Ced was hoping he wasn't being tricked. He didn't want the press finding out he was at Hogwarts. That would be bad not just for him but any one he would get close to. "If I remember right sugar quills are made of pure sugar that is spun into a quill. Not a big fan of them my self. I have to say it's good you don't eat this stuff. It can make you sick or rot your teeth. I only eat one piece in the morning, afternoon and at night." He told her. He didn't over do it on candy, even if Ced had 49 liquorice wands left.
"So what do you like to eat that is sweet if any thing if I may ask." He said nicely. Ced was always trying to be nice to people. He really liked going to st. mungo's, or seeing kids. He when to st. mungo's any time he is asked.

“Marina. My name is Marina.” She cut Cedric off midsentence, pausing only momentarily to listen to his next question. If a conversation was what he wanted, he would get Marina’s full, and very biased attention. “Eh, to tell the truth, I don’t really eat anything sweet. Maybe a nice pastry once in a while but that’s it.” With such a strict upbringing, the Slytherin girl had never been allowed to have many sweets. She’d learned to see them as childish, sugar filled snacks that would only get her into trouble. Her father insisted they eat a strict three meals a day; no snacks, if they were lucky, maybe a dessert.
Cedric, on the other hand, seemed to have had a lovely upbringing. What else could make him act so sweet? If it were anyone else, Marina would have been disgusted by his friendly behavior; probably even thought of him as foolish. But for some reason she couldn’t see herself hating Cedric Krum. Though they would never be friends, she wouldn’t mind listening to his tedious banter for just a little while longer. It was a miracle that Marina was willing to accept any bit of the Gryffindor personality. “So umm…” A pathetic attempt at conversation. Well she couldn't very well just sit silently now could she? “How much candy did you buy?” Marina raised her eyebrow and leaned across the table. Clearly this boy had no objections to feasting on sweets. She thought perhaps it would do her some good; eating some candy might even lighten her mood. “Maybe I’ll try some… a bit later of course.” She sat back with a flustered look on her face and just gawked at Cedric. What’s wrong with me? Chatting with Cedric Krum and eating candy!? God, I’ve really lost it.

Cedric smiled "That's a lovely name." He told her. "Well to tell you the truth I had bought 50 of these. I only eat one piece a day normally. I also have cauldron cakes, droobles best blowing gum, fizzing whizzbees, ice mice, jelly slugs, pepper imps, peppermint toads, and toothflossing stringmints." He told Marina as he went down his list. "I need some thing to snack on, I eat them slowly." He was glad to hear she might try some. "That's fine I got plenty. I also get some candy for poor kids. That's why I have some much." He said laughing as he rubbed the back of his head.
Ced loved helping kids out. He did a lot of work helping kids every where he went. He loved kids and he really hoped one day he would find the right girl and settle down. He really want a family and he would love to have kids of his own. "So tell me about your self." Ced said to Marina. He though that Marina was a cool person and a very lovely young lady. He liked how she wasn't all giddy about being around him like most girls were. He knew he had a fan club just like his dad did when he was here.
"If you ever see a big pack of girls from every house fallowing me feel free to scare them off or go the other way. It's a nightmare." He said shacking his head. "What I find funny even girls who have boyfriends are interested in me. I don't steal other guys girlfriends thou. I know the man code. Don't ask what that is it's complicated." He told her.
