general: Marina is an attractive young slytherin. (As most slytherins consider themselves to be.) She has just the right amount of curves with a pair of lovely hips, ample breasts, and delicate legs. She has tan skin, much like her mother, and wavy brown hair. Most would say that Marina’s eyes are one of her most striking features, as they tend to change from blue, to grey, and a slightly greener color. She gets them from her father. She also has a pair of plump lips; the better to pout in a snobbish manner.
dressing style: Most of Marina’s clothing is expensive and tasteful. She dresses in pastel sweaters, elegant dresses, and skirts. She is rarely seen wearing jeans out in public; choosing to wear them as more of a “laid-back” type of clothing. (Perhaps while on break at her family’s manor.) On occasion she will wear something that shows off a bit of skin, but only when her brothers aren’t around to see it.

QUIRKS OR HABITS: Marina is known to have an expression on her face in which she pouts her lip and slightly furrows her brow. She’s also known as a “daddy’s girl,” relying on her father’s connections in the Wizarding world as the core of her reputation.

PERSONALITY: While Marina has certain traits that fit perfectly with the rest of the Slytherins, there is so much about her that is unique. On the outside she would appear as very cold and indifferent, often treating others with a condescending attitude. She doesn't enjoy "chit-chatting" unless it involves something she's genuinely interested in. Needless to say, she can be very selfish and rude.

There is a side to Marina that she hardly lets anyone see. She hides her fear of failure and any other insecurities she has from just about anyone. Her self-control allows her to do this quite easily. She also tends to keep her life very private, only discussing such matters with her immediate family. Even with her family it is difficult to open up. Fear and sadness are seen as a weakness to them; thus Marina has learned to keep things bottled up.

A part of Marina is very narotic and dangerous. While she is able to stay calm, on the inside she is often crumbling. She doesn't show pity for anyone, once again, except for her immediate family. This has often caused her to act very vicious and cold-hearted. Sometimes she even goes as far as to attack her brothers mentally, as she is very good at "getting inside their heads" so to speak. It's easy for her to read people. Only on occasion, does she ever have misconceptions.

HISTORY Marina grew up, like many purebloods, in a very distinguished household. She was surrounded by servants and house-elves; all the better to make her a more spoiled child. She is the only daughter to Antonin and Elsie Dolohov. While her older brother Mikhail is seen as the prodigy child, Marina is more of a “daddy’s girl.” Her father always expressed his adoration for her as a child, causing her to become more and more spoiled. Needless to say, things weren’t always peaceful in the Dolohov manor. As a famed Death Eater, Marina’s father had a very dark, malicious side to him. When she and her two brothers were younger he used to beat them mercilessly. This is perhaps where all three children learned to be very tolerant of pain. Their father saw tears as weakness, and would only beat them harder if they cried, so they became numb to the pain. It was their only means of survival.

Just a few months after Marina and Samuil started school at Hogwarts, (their brother was already attending) Antonin Dolohov became a changed man. It is supposed that upon realizing how much he missed his children, he broke down and insisted they come home for a holiday. The children were shocked to see their father in such a feeble state. While they enjoyed this new found kindness he showed them, Marina and her brothers could only wait for the next outburst. Suprisingly, Antonin Dolohov has kept his word to his children and become a much more loving father. Marina’s love for him has only grown, and she has become obsessed with his affiliation with the death eaters. She looks up to her father more than anyone, and hopes to one day be just like him.

Meanwhile, things at school were a bit unpleasant for Marina. She had her brothers to look out for her, but they could do little to protect her from her hatred toward others. She made very little “real” friends, and could hardly stand to tolerate most of her classmates. She tends to befriend the older students most of the time. More recently, she has found her niche as a “loner.” She enjoys spending time alone, or taking walks with her brothers. They seem to be perfectly happy looking out for her around the clock. Marina tolerates their smothering to a certain extent, if only to please her father. For example, she's joined the Quidditch team at Hogwarts, despite their constant pleading. She figures her brothers are just worried she'll beat them at their own game. Marina hasn't told her father about this decision to join the team because she knows he'll be very upset with her.

“Marina!” The name chimed in the young girl’s ears, rather unpleasantly. She was used to being shouted at, especially by her father, but at this hour!? What could he possibly want her for? With a scowl on her face Marina dragged herself out of bed. Her feet hit the ground with a thud. “Alright, alright.” The words spoken loud enough for only her to hear. He was always nagging her, if not shamelessly congratulating her. One never knew what to expect from the former Death Eater. But Marina had to be used to it by now. He’d never been the kind, loving father most girls hoped for. She was perfectly happy having a tyrant for a father. Though, maybe “happy” wasn’t the word for it. Try “content.” Yes. Marina was content with her harsh, over-bearing father. He was the reason she was so strong, but there was little else she could relate to him.

Loud, controlling, narcotic, intimidating; Marina counted the traits on her fingers. There were many less than kind words she could use to describe her father, but none that she would ever say to his face. He wasn’t the type to care what people thought anyway; he’d probably just smack her across the face or something. “Yes daddy, why have you dragged me out of bed in the middle of the night? You want me to make you some tea? Oh of course daddy, anything for you.” The girl was always practicing what she would say to her father, if ever she got the guts to do so. When it came to speaking up she was just a bit braver than her brothers. She could get away with certain things, but there was only so much her father was willing to tolerate. Even if she was "daddy's little girl.”
