PHYSICAL APPEARANCE

general: . Blond strikes the Smiths for a second running; Paris’s is lighter than his father’s though. It is streaked with much darker colours underneath, looking bleached (but it’s not). Usually its fluffy and fly-away, but he can be known to put a fist load of Veela Kiella Wax in an attempt to make it more dread-like. He has light, crystal blue eyes which are dowsed by the heaviness of his eyebrows, though it can be endearing. Soft would never be a way to describe his eyes: they are always sharp. That cute, button nose and chin that doesn’t spout hair gives him an almost babyish look. His lips are very red, especially when licked.
dressing style: When not donning his hufflepuff robes, it’s usually the best fitting pair of jeans with a leather belt, and plain, unbranded tees preferably in dark colours. He never really had patience for accessories like bangles or rings, but sometimes he’ll slip past a faux dragon hide jacket just to feel cool. The only things he can’t stand wearing are formal clothes. They are stiff; misshapen and annoying to know whether they should be tucked in or not. He has an ongoing dispute with his Mother over dress robes- they are just awful.

BOGGART: Paris is wary of cats, but is unfathomably petrified by black cats: especially when they are hissing and spitting right at him. His boggart takes the form of a black feline, and Paris struggles a lot at erradicating it. He has only successfully vanquished one once, by imagining its hair turning bright amber and really fluffy. His imagination isn't the best, but who cannot like fluffy things? Ridiculous.
PATRONUS: He hasn't been able to cast a Patronus charm yet, but it will take the form of a badger. Despite his loathing for Hufflepuff house, his ancestors are still within him. His happiest memory would be a time of great success and praising.

PERSONALITY:

Foreground--> Paris is uncommonly passionate and sensitive, although it might seem like he’s an incompetent dickhead at first (ref. below). I regret to mention that he falls into the sore loser category, though he completely brings it upon himself. He isn’t bad at anything but he just hasn’t discovered a suitable path in life, which is why he may envy others who show talent. Paris is actually very self-critical while hiding behind a narcissistic shell. He can come across as being snobby, like his father; when in fact he’s a lot more sensitive than Zacharias.

When in a good mood and feeling confident Paris can be cheeky and adventurous. He’s able to go along with anything just for fun. He’s still running in his phase of girls being incompetent and difficult to grasp, so he never really shows much interest in them. However, he does like to pick on girls in particular. It comes across as being rude and ridiculing as he enjoys teasing them, but his consistent yearning to moan about them indicates that he sucks at being nice. Because if he could be nice, he would be very nice.

Envy--> They have it: I want it. Paria knows that he isn’t the best at everything, but what with the pressure from pushy parents and older siblings, he is escapist to a world of perfection. He majorly lacks confidence and is very defensive. His method of thinking is very selfish: if I have what they have, I’ll be coveted and above the originator. Even though he’s a reasonable lad and is capable of bonding with people, his jealousy for them can be uncontrollable. At extreme measure he can give into cruelty and attempt to steal glory away from them.

Anger--> If he feels diminished, envious or just teased that little too far, there’s already a hex splintering the other end of his wand. Sometimes for absolutely no reason at all, Paris will devote an entire day to being moody and nonconformist. If it isn’t for any other reason however; it’s just to get a bit of attention. It’s difficult not to become subjected to his juvenile behaviour and temper tantrums; especially if you’ve intentionally vexed him (consider it a latent death wish). One thing he really can’t take is sarcasm, so he’s a commonly good target for dry humour.

Helga Hufflepuff (deceased) - One of the four founders of Hogwarts whom valued loyalty, fairness and hard work. Born in Wales in medieval times and had a gift for food-related spells; her recipies still being used at Hogwarts today.

Hepzebah Smith (deceased) - A fussy, very fat witch whom had a large collection of trinkets and expensive antiques. Despite her grotesque appearance, she was very self-loving and flirtatious. She met a rather sudden end two days after meeting Tom Riddle, poisoned by a tainted drink delivered by her House Elf.

Zacharias Jerome Smith (40) - Father. Much as his Father before him, Zacharias is fussy, proud and protective. Image is very important to him, so the children get a very strict 'seeing to' if their grades are failing. He plays life as a game of winning and losing; of beating others and making something of the Smith name. He works for Gringotts bank, specialising in company investments. He struggles with pronounciation of Gobledegook but knows basic vocabulary.

Rose Donna Smith (nee Maliefent) (38) - Mother. House proud and snobby, it is very difficult to please Rose. Her relationship with Zacharias is probably the only thing she is satisfied with, mostly because of their agreement of family values. She is serious but false to please certain people and has a very annoying laugh. She works at a cosmetic company in promotion, so she brings home a lot of beta-tested freebees for her daughter, who show gratitude but doesn't dare touch them.

___ ___ Smith (17) - Sister. Strongly independant and courageous, Paris's sister somehow still keeps her parents satisfied. Unlike her brothers she isn't a suck-up and is just naturally gifted, but she is very modest and subtle. She feels very strongly towards equality and will accept anyone, no matter who they are (unlike her parents). She is very good at covering up her feelings and prefers to keep everyone happy knowing she is happy.

___ ___ Smith (16) - Brother. Paris's competition. He doesn't struggle as much as Paris to please his parents, so he is constantly mocking his younger sibling. Very popular at school, calm, polite and affectionate. He has racked up a few relationships and doesn't really treat girls very well, but they're still 'interested' in his charm.

Marcellus Edward Smith (67) - Grandfather, retired. Zacharias's Father. Grouchy and increasingly forgetful as he ages, he doesn't really say much nowadays.

Ophelia Smith (nee Vulmerston) (65) - Grandmother, retired. Zacharias's Mother. A superlative cook and loving grandparent, the children are always excited to see Ophelia for their numerous treats. She often teases her son for being so serious.

Pheobe Elsie Maliefent (64) - Grandmother, retired. Rose's Mother. A picky, rich witch with a love for rare, expensive jewels. She outwardly despises people if she decides to, and that is usually one in three. She shows compassion towards Paris, says his brother takes after Zacharias the most and ignores their sister. She thinks she's far too sensitive for a Maliefent. Paris loves his Nanna.

HISTORY

That Zacharias bloke’s a wart” – Ron Weasley

Both Zacharias and Rose are pushy, fussy parents, who will go to any length to get their children the best possible opportunities. It’s not necessarily a bad thing; seemingly it shows their devotion and care for their children but to a point where they feel under constant pressure and obligation to do well. His father is the more extreme case. Like Zacharias’s own father, he is almost obsessive over the protection and condition of the family; he’s very fraught over looking good against the rest of the wizard community. Paris also has good care over his image, having been fed spoonful after spoonful of class system importance. Zacharias probably just wants his son to be the winner he never was.

Paris always had more pressure, but only because he's narrow-minded and resentful. Paris's brother and sister really tease him for being so angry and jealous.

When Paris was in his second-year at Hogwarts, he had an agonising crush on a girl. She was a Slytherin; quite vicious, yet intriguing and mysterious. When her blatant refusal continued over the next year, Paris thought that being a hufflepuff was a huge burden. He also thinks that most girls are a waste of time (and money). He thought that most hufflepuffs just try and fit in with other houses. He hates feeling like a tag along.

Taking life as it comes just isn’t suitable for Paris, who is constantly questioned by his parents about how his studies are going (not as well as they might have thought). He likes to have a plan; to map out how great he will be if this happened and that happened and if he changed such and such.

Sometimes it comes in handy when his brother kicks him in the shins for being a moron.
