Kat walked into her Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom to find that she was the first one there. Last class the professor had said that they would be practicing stunning, which Kat was definitely looking forward to. She walked to the front of the class and took a seat in her desk, pulling out her textbook, the homework from last class, her new eagle feather quill, a couple rolls of parchment and an inkwell from her bag. She took a piece of parchment and wrote a heading on the top. Not knowing what the lesson would be about she only wrote Stunning, making sure to leave enough room for any additional words. Then she started double checking her homework. She looked up the references in the textbook and wrote any facts and information that she though that she might need later on in the class. She found a couple of things she had misread and rewrote them on the bottom of the parchment, crossing out the wrong answers at the top and wishing she had time to redo the whole page, but as she did not she would have to make do with what she had. She set her quill down and stared out the window, hoping that the rain would stop before Quidditch practice that night, otherwise it wouldn't be to fun or useful.
