Well this is just perfect! Miles thought to himself sarcastically as he paced around the seventh floor, as it was the most secluded space he could think of at the moment. Just recently, he had received word he was put into the Ravenclaw House Quidditch team. Normally, this would excite a person, but this wasn't good news for Miles for two reasons. First of all, he was drafted onto the team rather than being chosen at try-outs. Second, he didn't like the idea of being in the limelight.
God! I wish I could just have a place to keep secluded for a while..Somewhere for me to kill time in peace. he thought absent-minded as he continued pacing. He was truthful in his thoughts at least- he really just wanted a place to b left alone. As if responding to his thoughts, the wall made a sound. Turning to face the wall, the Ravenclaw saw a door that had appeared almost out of nowhere. Curiosity getting the best of him, Miles walked over and opened the door, finding himself in a rather spacious room. It seemed too big to have been an actual part of the castle, which astonished him.
Walking around, his footsteps echoed in the empty room before he thought about the situation again. He had only helped out the Gryffindors practicing on the pitch before by tossing the dropped quaffle back up to them. From what the professors told him, it was the fact he had such a good arm that got him onto the team. He them picked up a quaffle that was laying around, looking at it while it rested in his right palm.
"Damn it!" he shouted, launching the red ball across the room. If anybody else had seen this, they'd probably have been dumbstruck by the sheer velocity the ball was launched from his hand and how far it traveled, considering the immense size of the room.

Cedric was in a way running for his life, a large group of fan girls were after him, yet again. He was no actually running he was walking fast. He was trying to fined a place to hide for a bit. He was glad he wasn't on the Gryffindor quidditch team like his baby sister. He had enough to deal with, on top of that he was famous enough. Cedric got to the seventh floor with out being seen. *Now I need a place to hide. But where?* he though.
Then he saw a door appeared right in front of him. *Thank god* He though. He went into the room and looked around, it was almost empty except for one person. A boy from Ravenclaw was there messing with a quaffle. Cedric saw how far the quaffle was thrown by this boy. "Good throw." He said to the Ravenclaw. "I've need seen any one with that good of an arm in my life." He said walking over to him. "You got some skills with that.
Ced went over and picked up the quaffle. He threw the quaffle as hard as he could back to the Ravenclaw. Cedric had a good arm as well. He had thrown a muggle ball called a baseball so hard once the guy who cot it had his hand hurting after. "So can I ask your name or should I just call you the mummy of Ravenclaw?" He said to the boy. Ced was trying not to be rude at all but he was not good with talking to people unless they were little kids.

Almost as soon as he threw the ball, someone had entered the room and commented on his throw. Turning in surprise, Miles looked at the surprise visitor, now trying to think up of an alibi. He couldn't think of a valid excuse, as he had been known to inept at magic. That, and he had seen his throw, presumably from start to finish.
"Thanks..." he replied a little offhandedly before the student walked over, complimenting his arm. It took him a moment before Miles recognized the student as Cedric Krum, due to his resemblance to Siren. However, when Cedric had stated Miles had skills with his arm, Miles sighed dejectedly. "Personally, I wish I didn't." he replied, only to catch the quaffle. He looked at the leather-bound ball before looking back at Cedric. When Cedric asked for his name, or if he could call him the mummy of Ravenclaw, Miles laughed a little, finding it humorous.
"The name is Miles...Miles Skylark...And if I am not mistaken, you are Cedric Krum. I met your sister, Siren, just the other day." he spoke, tossing the ball underhanded this time at Cedric. This resulted in it taking a high arc, but it did travel much slower than his previous throw. Also, unlike at the great hall, the Ravenclaw's mouth was shrouded by his mummified appearance, so it was impossible to tell whether he was smiling or not.

Cedric smiled about Miles not wanting to have grate throwing skills. "I know what you mean. I'm good at this muggle game called baseball. I got asked to play pitcher once by some America muggle-borns as they said I have a good arm. I almost hurt some one." He said laughing a bit. "So your the cool looking guy Siren wont stop talking about. And your right I'm Cedric Krum." He said to Miles. "I'm glad to finely meat you." He told him.
"So why are you hiding out?" He asked. Ced knew that there was a good reason to find a place to hide every now and then. He was no cowered but he hatted fan girls. "You want me to help you out with your practice? I can also give you a few pointers on playing quiddtich. I also know the rules and all that too. So feel free to ask me when you need help." He told Miles.
"So if you don't mind me asking whats your blood status, not that I care about that I'm just wondering." He told him. Ced and his hole family never cared about what some one was blood wise. He knew that most people were half blood theses days, he also knew that muggle-borns were more gifted in magic then purebloods. Ced's father always found that funny.
Ced looked around. "Wish we had some moving goal rings to work with that would really help with your practise." He said. Just as he said that three moving ring appeared. "Well that was convenient." He laughed.

While Cedric agreed with him, Miles nodded when the Gryffindor told him about being a pitcher for a couple of American muggle-borns in baseball. If Cedric had almost hurt somebody, he could have only imagined what would have happened if he had been a pitcher. However, his right eye had shown some surprise at Cedric's next comment, which was about Siren. He was surprised at how Cedric claimed Siren could not stop talking about him. "Likewise." he replied with an affirmative nod.
When Siren's brother asked why he was hiding, the Ravenclaw shrugged. "Well, to be honest, I was hoping to vent out frustration...You see, I got drafted into Ravenclaw's quidditch team. They didn't even give me a say in the matter- and now I'm stuck on the team." he replied, soon sighing. "Sorry, it's just- I don't like being in the limelight. I never found use for fame, I went out of my way to avoid becoming famous, only to be thrown into it." he ranted, rubbing his forehead a little while Cedric asked him if he wanted help practicing and some pointers.
"Well...I guess I can't say no to that one. I might need a crash course." he replied, half-joking as Cedric had made a comment about needing some goal hoops. As if on queue, the goal hoops appeared, bemusing the Ravenclaw. "Ok, I'll bite- what the hell is with this room?" he asked. While waiting for his answer, he had been asked about his blood status. Not seeing why it matters, Miles streched his arms a little. "I'm a pure-blood. I am proud of that fact, but by no means does that make me arrogant." he replied, fully aware of the typical sentiment towards pureblooded witches and wizards.

Ced laughed at how Miles didn't want to be thrown into the spot light. "Try being born into it much worrs." He said laughing. "You just want to be normal and left alone. Trust me I know. I'm more famous then Siren. I know what it is like trying to avoided people and all that. Watch out for the press they are vaulters." Ced told Miles.
"We, my sister and I are purebloods too. But we don't care about blood status. The girl my dad dated when he was here was a muggle-born and she was top of her class." He said as he looked around. "I think this may be the room of requirements. It's sapost to be a magical room that shows up when a person really needs it. But I though it was destroyed in the battle of Hogwarts." He said in shock.
"Well any how what do you want to know first about being a chaser?" Ced asked Miles. "You can call me Ced if you want by the way." He said. Not many people called him Ced only his mom, dad, and sister. He knew that Rita Skeeter called him The heir to the Krum family at times. He really hoped to never run into Rita Skeeter wail he was here.
That was his biggest fear at the moment. He hated that women. He hated how she tried to ruwent his mom and dad's marriage at one time. His mom never got over it.

"Uh...yeah, normal. That's it." Miles replied to what Cedric had commented, adjusting the bandages on his right arm a little before thinking for a few moments. However, he couldn't help but chuckle at the imagery of a bunch of birds chasing Cedric once the latter had called the press 'vultures'. "I guess you're right. I can't imagine how obnoxious that is." he replied before picking up the quaffle as it rolled back to him.
When Cedric spoke about how he and Siren were pure-bloods, yet didn't care much about the whole blood status thing to begin with, Miles sighed a little. "I guess you were the lucky one then. Trust me, if you saw my folks, you'd know they'd rather maintain pureblood status...I mean, they could be worse like the elitists, but still." he admitted, remembering his parents making huge deals over the tiniest things in terms of their blood status. Then Cedric commented on how this was the Room of Requirement, and raised a concealed eyebrow at Ced's surprise with the room being in tact.
"Ok, it's been twenty-three years, it was bound to have been repaired." he replied, his blunt nature coming into play. He had not intended to sound rude or arrogant, he just was stating things how they were. When Cedric had asked him what he wanted to know, Miles shrugged. "I don't know, tell me what I have to do- and if there are any guidelines I need to follow." he replied, tossing the quaffle up before catching it again.

Post by Kassidy Danielle Wood on Dec 3, 2011 0:31:26 GMT -5
Taking a walk up to the seventh floor was something Kassidy usually didn’t do except for classes. She was a Hufflepuff, she belonged in the dungeons; even though the Slytherins thought they had claim over that region. Also the only time she came up this way was when she had to talk with her older brother Cameron, who was in Gryffindor. Honestly he was her best friend and she couldn’t imagine not having him at this time in her life right now. When she was finally curious about guys. Kass didn’t feel comfortable talking about this topic with anyone else and sure some might think it was weird for a sister to be talking to her brother about this situation. Yet Kass wasn’t a normal girl. She knew more about guys than girls.
That was why walking around with her broom was nothing out of the ordinary. Kassidy almost took it everywhere with her. Except to classes since her teachers knew enough not to allow it. Then Kass would only be thinking about Quidditch and plays. Since this year she was captain of the Hufflepuff team. She was determined to beat Gryffindor, even though it was her brother’s last year at Hogwarts. It would be even better if she beat Slytherin. However those thoughts would come at another time because right now she was going to try and clear her head until she was relaxed. Qudditch took a toll on her young body and she really needed relaxation.
It was time for her to make her first visit to the room of requirements this year. Kassidy has been going here since her second year and she hasn’t told anybody yet. Not even her brother. After pacing some, the door appeared and a smile went across her face. This is what she needed. Opening up the door however she heard two voices, both unfamiliar to her. And the site of the usually quiet room was different. It was practically an indoor Quidditch arena. Hearing the boys conversations, she knew it was immediately about Quidditch and she caught that they were talking about the position of chaser.
“Sure, chaser is fun and everything.” Kassidy said coming into the conversation, her competitive and Quidditch personality coming out. Forget about flirting with guys, they were talking about her sport. “But you have to score on me…and that doesn’t happen often.” She told them a smirk coming upon her lips. As she looked at the guys she noticed the one immediately being Cedric Krum. How could she not? Kassidy prided herself on knowing everything about the sport. “Kassidy Wood, Hufflepuff Quidditch Captain.” She told the boys leaning on her broom. “And it looks like you two might need the help of a keeper.”

Ced jumped when he heard a girl's voice. He turned around and saw a girl from hufflepuff. She had interdicted her self as Kassidy Wood, Hufflepuff Quidditch Captain. "I'm Cedric Krum nice to meat you Kassidy." He said. He knew who she was he knew about the wood family. They were as into quidditch as his family was. "Your going to have a hard time winning games with my sister playing as seeker on gryffindor's team." Ced said laughing.
"We will need a keeper to make it harder and more realistic." He told Kassidy. "He is new to the game so I'm trying to give him a few pointers. But I am not a good keeper." Ced said a bit embraced. He was never good at being kepper he was a good beater thou. He was wondering if he should join the team or not. "Well first thing you need to know are what you can and can not do in the game." He told Miles. "One thing a chaser can't do is called Haversacking. That's when you have your hand still on the Quaffle as it goes through the goal hoop - the Quaffle must be thrown through the goal." He told him.
"Theres another one where you can't have more than one Chaser entering the scoring area. That's called Stooging. That two of the rules." He told Miles. "I'm just telling you the ones that apply to your position on the team." Ced explained.
