Siren had walked into the grate hall for lunch. She needed to keep a healthy wight and needed to keep her strength if she was going to play seeker for Gryffindor house. She sat down at the Gryffindor table and looked around the room, Siren saw some one that cot her eye. It was a boy at Ravenclaw table who had bandages on him. She though that was odd. She heard of people called leppers who had bandages on like that. She put lots of fruit, vegetables, grains and meats on her plate. *I wonder why he has those on.* She though. She then felt some thing land on her shoulder.
She looked it was her grate horned owl from America Ivan. Siren smiled and patted her owl's head and nuzzled him. She took out some parchment, some red ink and a quill and wrote the boy a not to come and join her. "You see that boy over there with the bandages Ivan take this not to him please." She told her owl. He put the note in his beak and flew over to the boy. Siren hoped he would come and sit with her. She didn't know who he was but she hoped he would come over. She though the boy looked kind of cool with them on. Siren hoped she didn't say any thing stupid when he came over. She crossed her fingers that he would join her. She saw her owl land on his shoulder.

Having been sitting at the Ravenclaw table, Miles pulled down part of the bandages on his face, just enough to uncover his mouth to allow himself to have some pumpkin juice while the others spoke around him. Mostly about quidditch and homework, that sort of thing. However, Miles didn't seem to participate until he felt something land brush against him. Turning to see an owl, the ravenclaw took the note, opening it to read it. Scanning the red ink twice with his uncovered eye, Miles was a little skeptical about this.
"Uh...And you're sure this is for me?" he asked the owl rhetorically, who only let out a hooting sound as the ravenclaw sitting next to him nudged him. 'Go on, mummy-man. You can't just pass up a chance to hang out with Viktor Krum's daughter.' he spoke as Miles stood up, holding the plate with his left hand. Personally, he didn't care if she was related to some quidditch super-star. What did peak his curiosity, however, was that she was inviting him of all people over. Judging from the looks of the other Ravenclaws near him, they were just as surprised as he was.
"Well, if it excites you that much Jenkins.." he spoke before following the owl back to Siren. "Uh...hey...I got your note." he spoke, a little awkwardly as he joined her at the Gryffindor table, at least trying to keep his mind off the looks the other Gryffindors gave him.

Siren moved a little bit over to make room. "Glad you could make it." She said smiling. "Siren Faye Krum." She said putting out her hand. "Whats your name if I may ask?" She asked the Ravenclaw boy. "Looks like Ivan likes you. He can tell who's a good person and who isn't." She said. Siren was glad she took her offer. "Come and sit down please. I would like some company. I normally only hang out with my big brother. He doesn't try and make friends often." She told him. "So tell me about your self." Said said grabbing him a glass. "What would you like to drink." Siren asked him.
Siren could not be leave this boy was going to sit with her. She though it was funny him and all of the people in his house could not be leave she chose him to sit with her. She looked over at the table and saw the Ravenclaw girls wishing to be in her circle of friends, and how the boy's wished she would just talk to one of them or be with one of them. Siren found it kind of funny how this happened some times. "Looks like the other guys in your house are jealous of you being over here with me." She said with a small laugh.
She always though this kind of thing was funny. You had to get use to it if your famous or a child of some one people though was the greatest.

Miles watched as Siren made some room, a little surprised at the fact she was glad he could make it. Relief, however, was brought into his mind once the girl had offered her hand, presumably for a handshake. It wasn't the fact that she offered the handshake that relieve him, but the fact that she was using her left hand. "Siren, huh?" he asked, disguising a sigh of relief as he smiled.
He took her hand gently with his left hand, shaking it softly and briefly. "Miles Murphy Skylark. It's nice to meet you." he replied, before sitting down at her request while the owl brushed against his arm. When Siren spoke how Ivan could tell who was good and who wasn't, Miles chuckled softly. "I guess I should be grateful for that.." he replied, but once he heard about Siren's brother, he couldn't help but think about his own actions.
"I can't really say anything against him, as I dodge people too." he replied as he was about to grab a glass. However, Siren beat him to it and asked if he wanted anything to drink, and to tell her about himself. This took him a few moments before he spoke again. "Water...thanks.." he replied, still feeling awkward. "And to be perfectly honest, there really isn't anything special for me to say. I'm just a Ravenclaw student who happens to like wearing bandages like a mummy." he joked.
As the girls at the Gryffindor table spoke to each other about this, the boys at the Ravenclaw table did the same. It was then that Siren decided to bring up the fact that a lot of people were jealous of him. "Well...I guess so...To be fair, I don't see why they are making a huge deal out of this." he replied.

"Glad to meat you." She said shacking his hand. Siren then poured him some ice water. "I'm named after a race a dissident cousin is on my mom's side." She said. "I got to say love mummy look it's very original. I like people who are like that. Dad is like that to a point." She said. "They are only making a big deal of this is because my father is very famous and I'm famous because of him, and I'm rich. Tell you the truth I don't like it. Never knowing who you can talk to, never known who you can trust. It's madding." She told him.
Siren took a bit of an apple. She just shook her head. "Being famous is a nightmare. What about you any thing in your life that makes it hard to live?" She asked. She hatted to admit it but she wanted to be a normal witch. But Siren knew that would never happen. But she had to make the most of it. She then got sad thinking about how no one ever treated her like a normal person. Her father had to deal with that too. Siren remembered going to Durmstrang at age 8 and people coming up to her acting like they wanted to be friends but all they wanted was to be popular.
Siren never trusted people that much after a guy she liked acted like he liked her but only wanted some popularity that she had. She found out after hearing the guy talk to his friends how he was using her. She had hexed him so bad he grew horns. She was good at curses. She spent her time learning new ones. Siren knew they would be uses full some times. But she didn't uses them that much.

Miles nodded at when Siren explained what her name meant, appreciating the idea that people got names from rather creative sources. However, he refrained from explaining what he was named after, as it was both ironic to him and it probably would not be too interesting for Siren regardless. He felt his face underneath the bandages at her comment on how she liked the mummy-look, and was actually grateful he was wearing them otherwise Siren would have seen his cheeks turning red.
"Uh...thanks?" he said, uncertain whether to take it as a compliment or as an insult. However, he didn't have to think about that for too long before he picked up the goblet with the ice water with his right hand, taking a sip. Siren had explained why she was famous, because of her father's fame. He sighed softly, only able to imagine what being famous like that would be like. When she asked him what about life made things difficult for him.
"Well...if I had to say, it'd be avoiding fame. I mean...I'm what muggles would call an introvert. I guess they are right, I don't like drawing attention to myself." he replied, placing the goblet down and letting go, having inadvertently left a bit of an indentation where is fingers had held the goblet to begin with.
"I know all of that sounds a little silly...but I guess you could agree with me that fame isn't all it is cracked up to be, right?" he asked a little playfully.

Siren smiled. "No it's not. It's a curse tell you the truth. Growing up with people all over the world knowing who you are. Guys just wanting to be with you for your money and fame. Girls only wanting to be your friend to be popular. Never having a real friend. To tell you the truth I never had a boyfriend. Got close once but he was using me to be popular. I hexed him so bad that he grew horns." She said a bit sad.
She was glad to have a good guy to talk to. Siren took another bit of her apple. She was really glad Miles was nice as far as she could tell. She though he was kind of cool, they way he looked like a mummy. "So what about you what's a big problem for you. What a major pain in the back side for you, if I may ask?" She said to Miles. Siren poured pulled out a bottle of green tea. "I love muggle food and drinks." She said as she shacks the bottle. She opened it up and drank the hole thing in one go.
"Ahhh, thats good. I really need to stop training so hard." She said half joking and half sarcastic. She knew she trained way to hard, she knew she was going to make her self sick one of these days. "So what are your hobbies?" She asked Miles. Siren want to be grate friends with Miles. But she knew they both were unsure about letting people close to them.

While Siren told about his habit being a bit of a curse, Miles nodded before thinking about what she was saying. From her words, he could further justify why he goes out of his way to avoid being famous. However, he chuckled once he heard about how she cursed a boy who tried to become famous because of her. "Now that is funny...reminds me of a certain muggle family back in America." he joked, soon moving his right hand to fix the bandages a nearby Gryffindor tried to move, as if trying to take a peak at what was underneath. "You do realize that is not very polite..." he spoke while looking at the Gryffindor girl.
Turning to look at Siren again, he blinked at her question. "Well...I'm fairly certain I already answered that to the best of....Ohhh..." he realized, putting his palm on his face in a manner as if he realized how stupid he was being. "If you mean why am I wearing these bandages on my face, then it makes me wonder why you didn't ask in the first place. Don't worry, I haven't had any deforming injuries or anything, I just think these are terribly comfortable. The ones on my arms are just to match." he replied in a positive tone, only to cause the Gryffindor girl who tried to remove the ones on his right hand to question this.
'Then why did you say I was being rude?' she asked, and Miles looked at her. "Wouldn't you think the same thing if I pulled off your robes out of nowhere?" he asked, shutting the girl up before looking at Siren again. "Sorry about that." he apologized to Siren, only to hear her rather peppy comment about muggle food. "I love Muggle food and drinks too. I mean...they are creative enough to make us wizards look like amateurs in the process." he responded. It was then she made a comment about training, which peaked his curiosity. "May I ask what you are training for?" he questioned.

Siren laughed. "I though you might have realized it sooner. I'm taking after my father. When I was little my brother Cedric has to run after me on my toy broomstick. I was flying too fast on it. once when I was 5 my dad had cot me ridding his broom. I umm well I guess you could say I jacked it. I ran into a bobcat over in America and Ced saved me. He still has the scares." She said looking down ashamed of almost getting her brother killed.
"My mom and dad cot up to use after Ced got hurt. Mom managed to scare the thing off with out magic. Dad was so mad he spoke jibberish for 6 mouths. Mom took care of Ced's injury's. I didn't leave my room once. I was brought food and have my own bath room." She told Miles.
"Ced was cool about it thou he just thumped me on the head and told me never to do that again, or he would glue me to my chair." She said laughing. "I do have to say they look like that, I though you were sick or some thing, and that's why you wore them." She said. "I have to say curseing that jerk was funny. He was screaming like a girl. I got a pitcher of it if you want to see. I always keep it on me just for a laugh. "So your from America then I take it?" She said. "I'm glad we both like muggle food. ever played their video games. I love them really fun."

Miles chuckled a little, not surprised that Siren had been curious about his bandages. "I admit, I'm not one to be able to find hidden meanings in speech...something I hope to work on." he replied, but soon listened intently to Siren's story. It was amazing anyone had pulled any of that stuff, and it made him wonder more about the secrecy of magic. "Hold on, did you end up getting spotted by any muggles? Or were you lucky enough to have been secluded?" he asked. This wasn't intended to be a harsh question, it was merely curiosity on his end.
On a lighter topic, Siren had brought up how glad she was that they both enjoyed muggle food. It was then that she had questioned about his home, America. "You got me, I'm from the U.S.A, and yes- their video games are fun to play, I have a soft spot for a few of them myself." he replied in a casual manner, feeling a little glad to actually be able to talk to someone without feeling the need to be careful. He took another sip of water from his goblet, only this time noticing the indents he himself had caused while holding it before.
"Uh...is it just me, or did this goblet get damaged somehow?" he asked, looking at it in confusion, then back to Siren. He was hoping more then anything that she'd buy his confusion, as he really did not want to explain how they got there.

Siren smiled. "No we were luck. It was in Alaska. I'm not a fan of cold places. I loved California thou. I love how in San Fransisco there are sea lions. They are so cute. Dad said if I'm luck I might become an animagus and turn into one." She said a bit giddy. Siren loved animals and sea lions were her favert. "I really want to live in the U.S. one day." She told Miles.
When she hear Miles say he liked video games too she really smiled. "What is your favorite. I like the Elder Scroll games Oblivion and Skyrim.' She said. she had both for x box 360 and computer. "Wish I could have brought my laptop with me." She said a bit bummed out.
Siren hear what Miles said about his goblet and looked at it. "Wow weird, but these things are very old. Your a bit wet." She pointed out. "Here I wand fix the goblet and get you dry." She told him was she got out her wand. Siren uses the hot-air charm on Miles, she then gently took the goblet from him and pointed her wand at it. "Reparo!" She said and the goblet was fixed.
Siren then went and poured him more water. She then handed him back the goblet. "Here you go good as new." She said smiling.
