Nathaniel Longbottom was a hard-working student and studied more than he cared to admit. Yes, he was pretty lazy and sometimes he felt like doing nothing all day. It also happened sometimes that he was late with essays and delayed with homework and in result got a lot to do at once. He hated to be loaded with assignments and tests to study for so he tried his best to fight this laziness and do everything on time or maybe even earlier so it wasn't all on the last minute. Because as you see as much as he disliked studying and all this school work as much his nature didn't let him too. He had to prove people wrong. He wasn't just a clumsy kid or school dork, no! Yes, he was a bit silly about things but it didn't mean he was a moron. He just needed to grow up and learn how to stand up for himself. He's older brother and his best friend claimed interests to take care of it and Nate was grateful even though sometimes he didn't like they treated him like a kid. So what he didn't look his age?! So what he even acted as if he was younger?! He was the youngest in his family at last and he had time yet to grow up.
Despite how much of a shy boy he was, Nate didn't really like to be alone. He liked to be around people even if they didn't really speak to him. So he always chose places you could expect to be crowded when the time for him to be studying or doing homework had come. He didn't really like spending time in the library as thousands of bookshelves, tons of books overwhelmed him. Besides there was not so many people inside as you could possibly expect and you had to be quiet there. Nate was quiet himself but it didn't mean he liked silence around him. In Hufflepuff common room he could be around only students from his house and he had friends he liked to be around in other houses too. So for studying or doing any other school work he chose either The Great Hall or Student Lounge. This time it was the second one.
Young Longbottom managed to get to the sixth floor without too many clumsy things he could have done and without any injuries. Of course he lost some of chocolate frog cards he's been collecting since childhood as a few of them were stuck in his book. He didn't even notice when they slipped out of it as he walked and tripped over a few things on his way or when he was a little shaken on the great stairs. At least he didn't lose or break his glasses he had put on that day. Nathaniel opened the door to the student lounge and walked in looking around. The room was indeed full of people and he liked that, even more when he noticed there was a place for him to sit. He took his place in the corner of the room on one of the couches and set his things down.

Siren walked into the student lounge to try and get some herbology work done. She never did well in this class. She went and sat in back. She took out her copy of One Thousand Magical Herbs and Fungi. Siren also took out her copy of 1000 Herbs and Where to Find Them and she opened both books. She took out some parchment, blue ink and a Pheasant quill. She took some notes. She didn't like the though of having to work with some plants.
She looked around and saw a hufflepuff boy sitting by him self. Siren wondered who his boy was and or who his parents are. She knew hufflepuffs and gryffindors get along well enough. Siren collected her things and though she would ask to sit with him. She walked over to where the boy was sitting, "Mind if I sit with you?" She asked. Siren didn't have a very thick accent like her brother but it was still noticeable. She hoped he would say yes, she would like some company today. She felt a yank on her bag and then heard a tare and her books fell out of her bag.
"Of all the times for this bag to give out." She said and she put her books on the desk. She pulled out her wand, and pointed it at the torn part of her bag "Reparo." She said and the bag mended. "You got to love magic, it's a hassle but uses full. You have to fell bad for muggles they can't fix things like this." She said to the boy.

Nate was mostly like his father in his younger years at Hogwarts. So clumsy, so unfortunate. Everyone seemed to see it and some just made fun of him, made him even more embarrassed or scared. So it wasn't like it was only his fault to get in trouble or take part in some accidents which sometimes weren't accidents at all as some students like also Peeves the poltergeist, liked to prank him.
Not only Nathaniel looked younger as he was short for his age and thin with baby face and piercing blue eyes but he also behaved younger and not only because of his bad luck. He actually preferred the way he was so slow with puberty because it gave him time for innocent fun, to understand everything in his own pace. He thought he had time to grow up yet and worry about his future and all this adulthood. Secretly he wanted to be like his older brother, fearless, with good sense of humour, some of a prankster to protect himself from bullies, comfortable and confident around girls. But he was mostly the school dork and everyone's punching bag. He knew it was going to end someday, maybe when he grows tall like his father and brother, maybe when he finally decides to put a stop to this shit or maybe he needed a good push or a meaningful occurrence to happen. He really had to stop being so shy, get more confidence and courage because it would be easier for him to live. He was a nice guy, never wanted to hurt anybody. Maybe he wasn't as cool as other students were and he needed guardian angels here and there but there was no reason not to like him. If you knew him well that was because otherwise you could think he was boring and stupid. Yes, he was a bit silly about things but it didn't mean he was a moron. Even though he was lazy when it came to homework or studying he seemed to study more than people around him. It was just his luck that he kept forgetting simple things even with a good memory and vivid imagination. He just preferred to think of other things and they always flooded his mind instead of for example a proper spell to fix an armor he broke.
The youngest of Longbottom siblings sat down and took out his book. The couch was really comfy and reading this textbook in attempt to study Nate started to feel a little sleepy. It was until then when someone spoke to him. He looked up from his book and saw a very pretty girl he haven't seen before. His cheeks turned pink instantly. He said nothing just nodded. He watched her set her bag on a desk and listened to her speak. He had to blink as he got a bit confused. The girl spoke so fast and her accent was hundred percent not British. "Err... I don't feel sorry for them. They do fine without magic." he said with a nod. He liked muggles and he had a few muggle friends out of Hogwarts as he and his best childhood friend liked to go to muggle towns.

Siren saw the boy's cheeks turn pink and smiled. She though that this boy was kind of cute. "I see what you mean. I like their o what are they called.....video games. Their lots of fun and so many different kinds too. Love their poor I'm a big fan of pizza I think they call it. My mom, dad, brother and me go and get some when we are in America." She told him. She put her wand up and sat down across from him. Siren took out her transfiguration book. She liked transfiguration it was a fun challenge. She hoped to do well in this subject here.
"So what's your name?" She asked him. She though it would be best to ask now then latter. Siren then took out a match, the took out her wand and turned it easily into a needle. "That one was always too easy for me." She said. She really hoped for a challenge here. "So what year are you in?" She asked him. Siren hoped they were in the same year. She though it would be nice to have some classes with him. She though he was nice as far as she could tell, well so far he was nice. Siren hoped that he wouldn't act different when she told him her name. Most people did when they learned she was a Krum. She really would not care who her family was.
She really didn't know weather or not any ones kids who knew her father personally would treat her different, well she hopped any way.

He could say this girl was very confident. She spoke so casually, so fast and so much at once. He couldn't tell if the girl was arrogant or not because he simply didn't know her but the first impression she made wasn't as good as it seemed. She confused little Nate. She kind of made him feel smaller as she didn't look older than him even though she was taller but her attitude intimidated him a bit. Maybe it was because he was her opposite and he got scared easily or maybe because he was surprised someone like her even opened her mouth to him and for sure didn't feel awkward the least bit. He on the other hand felt very awkward. She was a girl, a very pretty girl he had to admit. She was self-assured and straightforward. What would she want with him, the boy who had very little to say and had ever so small ego?
"I like them too." he said with a small yet kind smile and nod. "Pizza's good too." he added putting his book down as he thought it was impolite of him to read it while someone was trying to have a conversation with you. He saw her take out a trasfiguration book and got curious instantly. He liked the subject too. It was very useful when you needed something you haven't close at hand.
"I'm Nate, Nate Longbottom." he gave her his name when she asked for it. He smiled some. "And yours?" he asked in return. It was nice to meet someone new even though he didn't feel so comfortable with it still. He always had problems with it, being so shy and a bit closed. He looked in ave at the girl when she turned a match into a needle. Maybe the spell wasn't that complex and no one should have problems with it but it was still amazing in his eyes. "Fourth." he threw simply. He didn't know what else to say as conversation with strangers was never easy for him, especially when it came to girls. His confidence was even lower then. That's why not many people wanted to hang out with him even though they found him adorable. But he did needed to grow up and realize it was nothing to be scared of.
ooc; Nate muse sucks xD

Kat walked into the Student Lounge on the sixth floor to find two other students in the room. Both looked to be fourth years like herself, and the boy was a Hufflepuff and the girl a Gryffindor. Kat smiled at them both and walked over to sit down on one of the couches. Hey, I'm Katheryn, but please call me Kat, my full name is a bit of a mouthful. She laughed and looked around the room. She wished she would have thought to bring her homework, she definitely had enough of it. She went over the list in her head, she was supposed to practice summoning and disarming for Charms, Stunning for DADA as well as read the second chapter and write a half scroll of parchment in length of resources, ideas and all that other nonsense that she loved. Kat grinned and continued the list. She had to finish her potions essay that was due the following day, as well as a paper on the properties of moonstone with a summery due by the following Wednesday. She also had to read chapter four in her Muggle Studies textbook and write a half a page on the context of the chapter which she knew would be impossible as she didn't understand half of what was being talked about, plus she hated the subject in general. Not that she had anything against Muggles, anything but, she actually thought them quite interesting, but the way the class was taught was not the way she learned. Then she had to draw her picture of the bowtruckle and label it's parts and all that plus she had to read chapter four through seven, not that that would take long at all, but she wasn't the best artist and she couldn't really remember what the bowtruckle looked like, though she did have a good image of the sharp claws that had scratched her the previous lesson. Now that was impossible to forget, but other than that she was drawing a blank. She also had Quidditch practice the next three nights and she would have to finish a lot of the work tonight before she went to bed. She layed her head back on the couch and stared at the ceiling. Why in the world had she taken so many classes this term, it was crazy and she didn't know how she would survive, especially since she was in training to become an Animagus which took up a lot of her time, well the time that she really didn't have to begin with. How are your guys's years going so far? Kat asked, trying to distract herself from her own tumultuous situation.

"Nice to meat you guys. "I'm Siren Krum. I'm a fourth year as well." She said to Nat and Kat. "My year so far has been a battle to keep the press from knowing I'm here. We don't need them crawling all over the school driving every one crazy or making life miserable for some people here and there family's. The one I'm really trying to annoyed is Rita Skeeter. Never tell her any thing it will come back to haunt you. Just ask Harry Potter. Man my dad wanted to beat the day lights out of him when he though Hermione was messing with Harry behind his back." She said shaking her head.
"So Nat I take it your Neville Longbottem's son then right?" She asked Nat. She knew she heard the name Longbottem before. She just didn't know where. Siren though her father might have said some thing about them once but she wasn't shore. "So Kat how are things with you and what about you Nat how are things?" She asked. Siren pulled out a book on dragons and she flipped to the Chinese Fireball. She shook her head. *Hope I never deal with one of theses ever. But the newly discovered Bulgarian DemonBack is a lot more of a problem and is much more deadly then the Hungarian Horntail and a little bit smaller then the Ukrainian Ironbelly* She though. She turned to the page with the Bulgarian DemonBack. She got white as a corpse when she saw it.

As if he hasn't already felt awkward with one girl speaking to him, the other one came in and spoke up so casually as soon as she walked over to them. Nate chewed on his lower lip feeling that he was probably going to panic or something similar to that. He didn't want to embarrass himself in front of two girls from his year. He already embarrassed himself before some older girls previous term and it wasn't too nice of an experience to him. It wasn't like he cared much because he got quite used to being some sort of a butterfingers.
Nathaniel's cheeks turned pink as he gripped on a book his held. He got a bit nervous with them around him. He didn't know what he could say. He didn't want to seem like a rude boy not joining in the conversation when invite to. But the girl who introduced herself as Kat started to check on something and the other named Siren talked so much that young Longbottom felt overwhelmed. Of course he knew who Kat was. He saw her around the castle for 3 years and what most important at the sorting ceremony in their first year but they haven't had a chance to talk yet. Maybe because Nate was rather shy and insecure around strangers, not to mention girls. The other girl, he didn't know personally as she probably transferred to Hogwarts this year but her name was of course familiar to him. Krum was a known last name in the wizarding world but as much as Nathaniel liked quidditch and admired professional players as much he couldn't understand what was it all about with this fame and reporters. "Um... fine I guess." he replied finally with a little shaken voice. Then he nodded to Siren to confirm her words. "Yes, he's my dad." he smiled at the girls a little bot more confident. He was proud of who his father was and what he did for magical world but he wasn't the one to show off with it.
ooc; bleh sorry for delay and a crappy post
